Burman University
This is one of the oldest Universities in Canada and it’s governed by the Seventh Day Adventist Church association. Its main campus is in Lacombe which is just half an hour away from Red Deer City. Though the affairs of the university is governed by religious influenced body, its nature of education is very much secularist and believes in inclusive approach.
As mentioned above, it is sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church and offers more than 20 undergraduate degree program choices.
This is one of the few universities that offer 4 years programs in education with major like elementary education or secondary education. Despite being located in the rural setting, the city life of Alberta is not far from its reach.
With more than 500 students from throughout North America and the globe, it offers the warm, family-like atmosphere on campus with a distinct cultural flavor.
